Internships Internships are available to students in nutrition, public health and health promotion programs. An internship with N. Chapman Associates, Inc. will provide exposure to policy analysis and communication and marketing strategies. Interns have the opportunity to monitor federal food and nutrition issues, evaluate federal food programs and participate in health coalitions. Chapman Associates, a boutique consulting firm that specializes in food policy and health communication is seeking a full-time Associate with a graduate degree and/or work experience in health, nutrition, or food legislative/regulatory affairs. Excellent written and verbal communication and research skills are essential. The individual will analyze regulations and legislative proposals, monitor Congressional and Executive Branch activities, analyze nutrition research, prepare policy documents, prepare talking points on broad range of nutrition issues, plan policy workshops, and manage projects. The Associate will work with industry, health groups, consumer groups, and commodity groups as well as develop relationships with key government representatives through workshops, meetings, and individual visits. A working knowledge of Power Point, Excel, and other MS Office software is needed. Salary is commensurate with experience.
